My wife, Kimberly, and I each have long established family lines in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. We are both fifth generation "Bitterrooters" dating back to the mid-1800's. We both have a passion for life that is the Bitterroot Valley. My great-great grandfather, James Morgan Evans, served as a personal confidante to Marcus Daly and purchased much of the land on behalf of Mr. Daly that later became the Bitterroot Stock Farm. I have been a retail pharmacist for 34 years, 28 of which have been at Bitterroot Drug, Montana's oldest continuously operated drug store. We have one daughter who is currently preparing for a community residency having graduated from the University of Montana School of Pharmacy. Our days are filled with our jobs, running our 10 acre ranchette, gardening, cross-country skiing and exploring the mountains and canyons that define our home. My interests in photography lean towards scenic and landscape photography particularly in western Montana and particularly in the Bitterroot Valley. For me, the four distinct seasons we enjoy in the valley seem to provide a never ending array of possibilities for the lens of my camera. I enjoy trying to get off the beaten path and finding the hidden gems that might not be as readily accessible.
